The Crucifixion of Metropolitan Jonah of the ORTHODOX CHURCH IN AMERICA - Who DARED Stand Publicly Against Gay Marriage.

Metropolitan Jonah is an American Hero and his actions are saintly. He had the temerity, the gall, the arrogance,

the CHRISTLY COURAGE to sign the MANHATTAN DECALRATION!

Now, the Luciferian forces INSIDE The ORTHODOX CHURCH IN AMERICA are hell bend on smearing him, destroying his reputation. What fool dares stand against the Scientistic Dictatorship Elite and their new morality???!!!!

Curse you Metropolitan Jonah, The Luciferian Forces Say:

In its quest to find something — anything — in their obsessive quest to destroy His Beatitude, Metropolitan Jonah, operatives in Syosset (the headquarters of the Orthodox Church In America) found an old rape allegation, NOT against Jonah mind you, but against a priest who happened to be living in Washington. This priest was never in the OCA. They wrote an inept and irresponsible letter with the false charge that Jonah covered up the alleged rape.

The letter calls into question their veracity, intentions, and intelligence. They have thrown the OCA into a crisis of the highest order and show no signs of stopping.

Even worse, they never considered that in their Ahab-like quest to destroy His Beatitude, they would hurt another human being.

Yesterday I published a letter form this woman’s godmother, who wished to set the record straight. I applaud her courage. The family of the victim took umbrage at Syosset’s scurrilous claim and determined that the victim’s experience would not be used to destroy another innocent person. The record has been clarified and Syosset’s story is demolished.

The facts are now in circulation. No more needs to be said about this incident. In order to protect the people involved, all comments that mention this incident will be removed. They have suffered enough.

At this point, the broader, more troubling question is this: what new and scurrilous accusations will these same operatives bring forward in order to further blacken the name of our Metropolitan? When will they realize that enough is enough?

+Metropolitan Jonah - A Brave Man

I am proud to be one of those clergy who signed the Manhattan Declaration and will stand by it to my dying breath. The Scientistic Dictatorship Elite that has taken control of our Society and is bringing us the New World Order, is also at work inside the Orthodox Church as well, pushing it toward the same Abyss of Apostasy, which has taken the Church of England and the Episcopal Church in the U.S., several main line Protestant denominations and a huge segment of the Evangelical movement as well. It is a move toward moral relativism and the Marxist philosophy of Social Justice - May God Have Mercy On Us All. Metropolitan Jonah - MANY YEARS! - MANY YEAR! MANY YEARS!

Manya A. Brachear of The Chicago Tribune. The early versions of this report covered the OCA.org press release, and little more. However, Brachear has waded several paces into this maze and now has some — limited — on-the-record quotes from key players. For example, there is this:

“People were looking for that new wind of leadership that he seemed to embody,” said the Rev. John Adamcio, rector at Holy Trinity Cathedral, the seat of the Chicago Diocese. “He was under an awful lot of pressure to right the ship and keep the church on course.”

Metropolitan Jonah didn’t just try to correct the course. He also tried to shift the direction of the Orthodox Church in America, part of a constellation of churches separate from the Roman Catholic Church since the 11th century. He insisted on amplifying the church’s voice in the public square, moving the church’s headquarters from Syosset, N.Y., to Washington and speaking up against abortion rights. In 2009 he led a handful of Orthodox clergy to sign the Manhattan Declaration, a pledge to disobey laws that could force religious institutions to participate in abortions or bless same-sex couples.

The Rev. Mark Arey, director of Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, said Metropolitan Jonah’s approach was not typical of Orthodox Christianity. “Orthodoxy is not in favor of abortion, but we don’t campaign in the same way you see evangelical groups,” Arey said.

But the Rev. Johannes Jacobse, president of the American Orthodox Institute, agreed with the primate’s foray into politics.

“He saw what needed to be said, and he wasn’t afraid to say it,” said Jacobse, an Antiochian Orthodox priest. “That kind of independence is threatening to a church that has operated by the same rules and assumptions for a long time. Part of this, too, was he represented a cultural shift inside the church that some thought should not have taken place.”

The Cancer of Secularism In Orthodox Christianity

Of course, it is “politics” when an Orthodox leader defends the church’s doctrines in public. It is not “politics” when liberal activists inside the church work to silence the voice of the church, while quietly lobbying in seminaries and elsewhere to redefine those same doctrines. Gosh, that logic sounds rather familiar.

The Abuse of Metropolitan Jonah of the OCA

This move of the Orthodox Church in America, to oust Metropolitan Jonah from his seat as Head of the Council of Bishops of the OCA, signals to me that the OCA is making a statement the breaks my heart. It is another signal of the apostasy of Christianity which continues in America. Metropolitan Jonah as a comfort to every Christian in this country who genuinely knows Christ and seek to express in according to the Apostolic Tradition of Christianity. The group that has taken him down represent a secularize Christianity unable to speak with a clear voice on social and moral issues - that is the secularists. The OCA represents by far not the largest Orthodox jurisdiction in America, but the only "Autocephalous" (that is self headed - not governed by a foreign Patriarchate) - Metropolitan Jonah is a hero in my book. My grief is more than seeing a friend abused - and the Bishops of the OCA have literally abused +Jonah from the first day of his tenure as Metropolitan, but the sad "truth" it signals about where a segment of American Orthodoxy is headed. This article explains that divergent path pretty well. May God have mercy on those whose eyes have lost the link between Truth and Liberty.
